Issue #23452: [USSEP] Female merchant clothes - gaps in arms when worn

File paths:

Someone reported this on Nexus Mods: link

I was able to confirm this in my game as well, so it's a legitimate issue that probably has something to do with the USLEEP to USSEP conversion. Hana thought that possibly the meshes just need to be reconverted.

The most relevant thing from the tracker that touched these is Issue #12099.

By the way, there isn't an issue with the male version of the meshes from everything I can tell.

I tried running the USLEEP files through the nif optimizer, but it didn't do anything to fix the arm gaps with the outfits. Not sure what the problem is here.

I looked into this some more and think our best bet is to remove the USSEP female merchant clothes mesh. Reasoning below.

According to everything I've seen, it's not possible to edit SSE NIFs, only LE NIFs. What this means is that since the LE mesh looks fine and this was an error during porting, it's not something we currently have the ability to fix.

Given that the issue we were trying to fix (Female merchant clothing did not correctly contain a calf partition and thus would clip with a number of other outfits when it shouldn't have. (clothes\merchantclothes\torsof_0.nif, clothes\merchantclothes\torsof_1.nif) (Bug #12099)) is less noticeable than the arms having holes in them, I vote to undo the fix, essentially choosing to live with a less noticeable bug over a more noticeable one.

Let me know if you think I'm off base on this one, but sadly I think we're gonna have to live with the knee clipping with some outfits so that women don't have giant holes in their arms with this outfit.
